How Much Does Architectural Photography Cost in Kerala?
A straight answer on what architectural and interior photography costs in Kerala, what changes the price, and what you actually receive at the end.
It is the first question almost everyone asks, and most photographers avoid answering it publicly. Here is a straight explanation of how architectural photography is priced in Kerala, so you can budget before you call anyone.
What you are actually paying for
A photography fee is rarely about the hours on site. A half-day shoot of a residence might take four hours with a camera and another six editing — correcting verticals, blending exposures where a window blows out, cleaning up a stray cable. The image you receive is the result of both.
What moves the price
Four things change a quote more than anything else:
- Number of images. Most projects need somewhere between eight and twenty-five finished photographs. A single villa is not the same as a forty-room resort.
- Time of day. Shooting dusk exteriors means waiting for a twenty-minute window and only getting one attempt per evening.
- Travel. A shoot in Muvattupuzha or Kochi is a different proposition from three days in Munnar with overnight stays.
- Where the images will be used. Photographs for your own portfolio are priced differently from images a hotel chain will run in paid advertising.
What you receive
Finished, retouched, high-resolution files, plus web-sized versions ready to upload. You should expect to be told clearly where you may use them and for how long — a good photographer puts this in writing rather than leaving it vague.
A note on the cheapest quote
Architectural photographs outlive almost everything else in a practice's marketing. A set shot badly — leaning verticals, colour casts from mixed lighting, rooms that look smaller than they are — represents your work for years. It is worth comparing portfolios on the kind of space you actually build, not just comparing numbers.
If you are planning a project and want a figure for it, get in touch with the location, roughly how many spaces are involved, and where the photographs will be used. That is enough for an accurate quote.
